Tours, and how they differ from our treks
Everything on this page starts and finishes on the same day. You are collected in the morning, driven or flown to the site, guided through it, and back in your hotel by evening — no permits to arrange, no packing list, no altitude to think about. A tour is the shorter, softer half of what we run.
Most last between three and eight hours. Temple and heritage walks around the Kathmandu Valley sit at the shorter end; sunrise drives to Nagarkot or Sarangkot, Phewa Lake mornings in Pokhara and mountain flights along the Everest range take a little longer. Transport, entrance fees and a licensed English-speaking guide are part of the price.
They suit travellers with a spare day between flights, families and anyone who wants the Himalaya without a week on the trail. They also pair well with a trek: plenty of our guests use a tour to fill the buffer day before departure or to recover once they are back down.
