Trishuli River White Water Rafting Day Trip

Two hours west of Kathmandu, the Trishuli River carves through forested gorges with rapids ranging from Class II to Class IV — perfect for first-timers and experienced rafters alike. Our full-day trip covers 25km of river, passing through jungle canyon, remote villages, and dramatic riverside scenery that most Kathmandu tourists never see. Itinerary

Drive to Charaudi put-in point

2-hour drive west from Kathmandu along the Prithvi Highway to the river launch point. Safety briefing, wetsuit fitting, and paddle training on the bank.

Upper Trishuli rapids (Class II-III)

First 12km section through forested gorge with steady rapids and calm reading pools. Wildlife spotting on the riverbank.

Riverside lunch

Pull out on a sandy beach for a hot dal bhat lunch cooked on the bank by your support team.

Lower Trishuli rapids (Class III-IV)

Second 13km section with stronger rapids including the notorious Upset rapid. Take-out at Mugling bridge.

Return drive to Kathmandu

Dry off, change, and board the vehicle for the 2-hour return to Thamel.
