Choosing a trek in Nepal
Trekking here means walking village to village on trails people have used for centuries — sleeping in teahouses, eating dal bhat with your guide, and gaining height slowly enough that your body keeps up. There are no technical sections on the routes we run. What they ask of you is consistency: five to seven hours of walking a day, on stone steps and dust, for a week or more.
Most of our itineraries sit in four ranges. The Everest region is the highest and the most weather-dependent. Annapurna offers the widest spread, from four-day ridge walks to the full circuit over Thorong La. Langtang is the closest to Kathmandu and the easiest to fit into a short trip. Manaslu is the quietest, with restricted-area permits and far fewer people on the trail.
Pick by duration first, then by difficulty. Anything under a week stays low and suits a first Himalayan trip; longer routes cross passes above 5,000m and reward time spent acclimatising. Every trek page lists the daily stages, the altitude profile and what is included, so you can compare honestly before you commit.
